Great news for TPS beneficiaries from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan!
On September 8, 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced an automatic continuation of TPS designations for El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua and Sudan.
- Temporary Protected Status coverage as such continues indefinitely for beneficiaries from these 6 countries.
- The continuation removes the current EAD expiration date of October 4, 2021 and extends it to December 31, 2022.
- Those covered by TPS from all of the above countries, except Haiti, are not required to reapply for TPS or EAD renewal.
- Those Haitians who qualify for TPS (initial or renewal), must apply for Haiti TPS before the end of the newly designated registration period set for February 3, 2023.
