Breaking news for our travelers! Increase in the price of visas
The U.S. Department of State has announced an increase in nonimmigrant visa fees effective May 30, 2023. Tourist, business, student, temporary worker, and investor visas will increase from $160 to $185. In addition, some temporary worker visas will go up from $190 to $205 and business and investor visas will increase from $205 to $315.
But don’t worry, these price hikes will not affect visa issuance, as these visas are “essential,” as President Joe Biden points out, to the country’s foreign policy and the U.S. economy.
If you are thinking of traveling to the United States, it is important that you review the requirements to apply for your nonimmigrant visa, which is granted to citizens who move to the U.S. temporarily (for tourism, medical treatment, business, temporary work, study or other similar reasons). It is also important that you schedule an appointment with the consular section and pay the MRV application fee using one of the available payment methods.
At Carlos E. Sandoval, we are a law firm specializing in immigration matters and we are happy to help you through this process. If you need more information or have any questions about the visa application process, please do not hesitate to contact us, we are here to help you!
